We are dedicated to anti-oppression, believing that empathy enables us to share in the pain of others, while compassion drives us to actively resist systemic oppression. Compassion is essential for dismantling harmful structures. We recognize our connection to oppressive systems within a capitalist economy, yet we strive to provide services to those who lack access due to inequality. Our Story So Far

At Mindful Restoration, we believe that when a person learns a new strategy for engaging with others and responding to their environment, it should be applicable to all aspects of life. A strategy for overcoming challenges should seamlessly integrate into work, social interactions, family dynamics, and personal decision-making. After all, what good is a strategy if it only helps us cope with stress rather than actively shape the life we desire? While we cannot control the choices of others or predict life’s unfolding events, we can control our responses—laying the foundation for a more intentional and fulfilling lifestyle. Our approaches and interventions are designed to do just that: strengthen the foundation of your life.

Mindful Restoration began by offering classes, workshops, and outdoor restoration projects that integrated mindfulness-based practices. These experiences were designed to help individuals explore their responses to their surroundings and relationships. From there, we worked together to develop strategies that align with personal values, beliefs, and goals for a more fulfilling life.

We’re still doing that—just on a larger scale. Today, Mindful Restoration offers therapy for individuals, families, and groups, as well as neurofeedback and biofeedback assessments and training. We also facilitate mind-body skills groups to support holistic well-being. Rooted in an ecopsychological perspective, we are committed to sustainable practices, conservation, and environmental preservation.
